Super Bowl Nannies

The Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts played in the NFL Super Bowl in Miami, Fla., on Sunday. Many of the players wives brought along their nannies to assist with the children. While they partied and socialized with the other wives, the nannies entertained the kids.
There is an alternative. A babysitting service based in New York offers qualified babysitters to assist traveling parents. It is designed for parents who travel and are required to stay overnight in hotels. Babysitters come to hotels and sit for children while their parents are out. This is especially convenient for parents who attend meetings and conventions. Therefore, parents do not have to pay food, housing and travel expenses for nannies who travel with them. Below is a link to the one of the companies who offer these services, The Baby Sitters' Guild.

This is an interesting topic to bring up. Although, we all get caught up on the "player" point of view, we rarely think about the families of these players. Wives can get so stressed out taking care of the children, they seldom have the ability to enjoy their husband's accomplishments.
The babysitting service is a great idea. This allows for a smoothier transition and gives the moms a break. The babysitting service should make sure the employee go through extensive background checks. Because they would be dealing with the families of highly-profiled athletes, quality and security are very important factors.
